About Ann Igoe, MD
Born in Dublin, Ireland, and diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at age 10, Ann Igoe, MD, entered medicine to give others what no one gave her. After medical school in Hungary, research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and US training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Adult Rheumatology, she is now a board-certified rheumatologist practicing in the United States.
She understands chronic illness from both sides of the exam room: as the patient who took decades to learn how to truly advocate for herself, and as the physician who now gives others what no one gave her.
